NEWS The US Senate is currently considering its legislative options as it tries to block child access to pornography on the Internet. One bill would impose jail terms on those providing content deemed harmful to minors. The other would require that blocking software be installed on all public-use computers, such as those in libraries and schools. Observers have commented on the difficulty the Senate faces of balancing individual rights against the desire to protect children from inappropriate material.
