NEWS Computer Associates (CA) has been hit by a class action lawsuit from disappointed shareholders following poor results. The lawsuit alleges that CA artificially inflated stock prices so company executives could profit financially from a $1.1bn stock option. CA warned shareholders last Wednesday that growth would be slow over the next few quarters due to the Asian economic crisis. The company also claimed corporate spending on Year 2000 solutions has hurt sales of its products.
