NEWS Intel is to donate $1m to an electronic education project run by Oxford University. The majority of the cash will fund the development of educational software and teacher training projects. Long term research into how computers can aid education will receive $200,000. Intel CEO, Craig Barrett, told an audience at Westminster that the UK government should provide tax breaks to families buying computers for their children. He also called on Europe to lower the cost of telecommunications to encourage more schools and families to go online.
