Californian governor cracks down on spammers

NEWS The governor of California, Pete Wilson, has signed two 'anti-spamming' bills, designed to give Internet Service Providers the power to create their own laws regarding junk email and to sue spammers who break those laws. Included in the legislation are laws to force bulk emailers to honour the recipients' requests to remove them from the mailing list.
