NEWS NEC suffered another blow in Japan today with the revelation that the Japanese space agency is seeking repayment of $19.4m. The agency claims a series of contracts were overcharged between 1993 and 1998. Three NEC executives have already been arrested for allegedly overcharging Japan's defence industry. In October NEC chairman, Tadahiro Sekimoto resigned although he insisted this was unconnected with the scandal.
