iCore bridges the business and IT gap

NEWS Software consultancy, iCore, has released a survey of the UK's top 2,000 companies, which shows that a quarter of business managers have no idea how IT problems affect their companies. iCore has timed the publication to coincide with the launch of a new product, Business Bridge, which monitors systems and explains what is going on in business terms. Jim Chapman, iCore's executive chairman, said: "This is the first interface which uses a language that business people can understand. It has been a huge success in France, and now we're offering it to banks and telecommunications firms in the UK." The survey, conducted this month by Metrica, also found that two-thirds of retail managers check daily to see if their IT systems are operating.
