New owners for Safetynet and Computers in Ireland

NEWS Dublin-based services firm, ITG group is to buy Computers in Ireland, the computer supplier and training specialist, for up to £7.6m. Included in the deal are Computerland, an Irish computer retail outlet, and Work Station, the supplier of training modules, which will be bought for a cash payment of £3.4m and £2.2m in shares. Meanwhile, a management group backed by venture capital firm, 3i has announced the £85m buyout of disaster recovery specialist, Safetynet. 3i will own 20 per cent of the newly-formed group, with Reuters taking a 25 per cent stake.
