NEWS IBM has signed a £100m contract to manage The Co-operative Bank's ATM (automated teller machine) network. IBM claimed the seven-year deal is the largest ATM outsourcing contract in Europe, and expands on Big Blue's existing five-year old agreement with the UK bank. IBM Global Services will manage the bank's current 600-machine network, and install 350 new ATMs at Co-op stores over the next two years. It will also develop software and provide call centre support for the machines.
