NEWS Dudley Council has launched an interactive online service offering the public 24-hour access to tax information. A spokeswoman for the council said: "It's been going on since the new codes were brought in and is proving very popular." The service provides users with information on council tax and business rates. It can automatically register any changes to address or status so adjustments can be made to relief and allowance entitlements. The spokeswoman claimed one customer had already saved £150 on his bill following a late night tax check using the online service.
