Microsoft gears up for anti-trust resumption

By Sarah Left, 4 May 1999 17:54

NEWS The Microsoft anti-trust trial resumes this month, with both sides calling industry insiders to the witness box. The US Department of Justice (DoJ) is calling IBM executive, Garry Norris, to bolster its argument that Microsoft's market dominance ultimately means consumers are getting less choice than they should. For its part, Microsoft will put AOL executive, David Colburn, back on the stand. Colburn testified for the DoJ in round one, but Microsoft lawyers hope he'll prove that AOL's $10bn deal with Netscape and Sun has changed the industry landscape.
