EC frees ISPs from Microsoft clause

NEWS The European Commission (EC) has given Microsoft the all clear, following an investigation into the company's software licensing arrangements with ISPs (Internet service providers). According to a report in the Financial Times, Microsoft has agreed to remove exclusivity clauses from contracts at the EC's request. ISPs are now free to promote non-Microsoft browser software on their services.
