NEWS Online medical resource, The Health Channel, has announced an agreement with Infoseek to quadruple the amount of content on its Internet portal and to boost the power of its search engine. The site - at http://www.thehealthchannel.com - provides links to 2.8 million other health-related sites on the Web, has detailed coverage over 700 medical conditions and offers channels for professional and personalised information. The expansion will enable users to search one million pages of extra information within The Health Channel itself, or to search the entire Internet. The company is aiming to reinforce its position in the market for healthcare information on the Web - an industry sector which analysts believe will grow from $500m to $6.2bn by 2002.
