NEWS Hewlett-Packard (HP) has hailed the success of two of its channel programmes, after releasing a report which shows they substantially boosted reseller profits. The survey, carried out with IT wholesalers in five countries, measured the returns on investment of channel partners participating in HP's Top Value PC supply-chain programme and its Air printer and scanner scheme. According to HP, Top Value participants increased returns by up to 173 per cent, while Air partners saw returns rise by up to 109 per cent. HP said the survey was a response to long-term falls in the profit margins of its European channel partners, and claimed Top Value and Air offer prove its commitment to boosting channel profits.
