NEWS Data General Corporation and Apache Medical Systems have teamed up to strengthen their standing in the healthcare market. The deal will enable Apache's critical care systems to run on Data General's enterprise class Aviion servers and Clariion storage systems. Apache CEO, Peter Gladkin, said he was attracted to Data General because of the scalability and reliability of its products. According to Michael Sutkowski, general manager of Data General's US healthcare division, the alliance will significantly strengthen the company's healthcare solutions portfolio.
