DOJ and Microsoft make final anti-trust statements

NEWS After months of wrangling with the world's largest software company, the US Department of Justice yesterday concluded that personal computers are locked into a Microsoft world. In response, Microsoft summarised its anti-trust trial as courtroom theatrics and unwarranted attacks from competitors. But the final word on Microsoft's business practices will come from Judge Thomas Jackson this autumn, who requested submissions of fact from both sides yesterday, to help him decide his verdict.
