NEWS Cisco and IBM are looking to push into the growing Application Service Provider (ASP) market by supporting companies looking to provide software on the Web. The two companies announced this week that they will team up to offer development, testing and other services to ASPs. The deal will support Cisco's Hosted Applications Initiative launched in April. IBM and Cisco will join other industry heavyweights, including Intel and Oracle, in the burgeoning ASP market.
