NEWS Brokat has won plaudits from its long-time customer The Co-operative Bank following last month's launch of the bank's Internet-based offshoot, Smile. The Co-op Bank especially praised the time it took Brokat to complete its side of the multimillion-pound project. Brokat worked on the Java-based banking site's major architectural components, and implemented its e-Services platform. Partners included FI Group, which handled mainframe development, and Web design outfit Technophobia.
