NEWS UK systems integration and services firm, Anite, has paid £2.2m in cash for three of Bull Information Systems' Local Government Solutions businesses. The Bull subsidiaries recorded a combined loss of £71,000 on sales of £4.2m for calendar 1998; they will complement Anite's Imasys Local Government division. The takeover follows two acquisitions by Anite last month. It bought Orbis for £1.24m and Opentur for £2.1m. Orbis also sells to local authorities, while Opentur provides reservation software for tour operators in Italy.
