NEWS Nasdaq has formed a joint venture with India-based consultancy, SSI, to take on European and Japanese Internet investment markets. The company to be named IndigoMarkets will set about creating a network of trading and market systems to support investors looking for Internet-based investment opportunities. Gregor S. Bailar, chief information officer at Nasdaq parent company, National Association of Securities Dealers, said he hopes to use Nasdaq's brand name and SSI's experience of brokerage to cater for the emerging Internet trading era.
