Net plays host to Dixon car dealership

NEWS Dixon Motors and Direct Line are to launch an online car dealership for new and used cars this summer. The yet to be named site will offer car auctions, motoring news and car accessories over the Internet with motor insurance available from Directline.com. Already providing insurance and a car breakdown service, the only thing missing was selling the cars themselves so the move will be a beneficial one for the company. Although customers can get insurance from Directline.com, Justin Skinner, spokesperson at Direct Line said: "Customers are free to go elsewhere for insurance." The site is due to go live in early summer, and will allow customers to part-exchange cars as well as receive car finance from the same place.
