NEWS HSBC today officially unveils its internet banking service in a marketplace already populated by rivals like barclays.com, egg and natwest.com. HSBC's late entrance has been critised by some analysts, but according to the banking group 70,000 customers are already using HSBC.co.uk. A spokeswoman for the bank said the service was an integral part of HSBC's mainstream service. "This is not a stand alone bank, its simply more choice for our customers," she said.
