NEWS PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) will today launch its own B2B internet marketplace, e.conomy, for the provision of indirect services. The venture aims to simplify procurement processes - including hotel accommodation services, temporary staffing arrangements, stationery and travel. The site is already operating in the US where it has gained 375 users since its launch in December 1999. PwC claim the marketplace will save users between 10 and 20 per cent on the purchase of goods and services. PwC intends to expand the service to other indirect services such as computer hardware in the future.
