NEWS Ecommerce company Art Technology Group (ATG) has won a contract to overhaul HSBC's web strategy and revamp the banking giant's website. The contract will involve the installation of ATG's range of ecommerce servers in the bank's US web-hosting centre where the company's website is supported. This platform will be used to service all web-based services catering to 25 million customers across 80 countries. According to Jeff Wolfers, senior manager of the HSBC Group Technology Strategy, HSBC chose ATG's products because they will support a wide user base across PC and mobile devices. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
