NEWS Thirty nine per cent of Europe's top business people reckon London is the "most likely" centre for internet-related work, according to a survey conducted by property consultancy Healy & Baker. Frankfurt languished in second, with seven per cent of the vote, and Paris third at five per cent. The poll of senior managers and board directors in 504 European companies also revealed that business leaders believe the internet will have the greatest impact on their operations over the next ten years, although those in Italy and France believe EU enlargement is the key issue. London also came top in another seven out of 12 categories specified in the research, including qualified staff, external transport links and languages spoken. However, the UK capital slipped up in the 'freedom from pollution' and 'quality of life for employees' categories, and also suffers from expensive staff and office space.
