NEWS Pinder - a management consultant and former IT director at the Inland Revenue - has been appointed on a temporary basis and will not be applying for the post on a full-time basis. A Cabinet Office spokesman said: "We're keen to have someone in place to drive forward the agenda until a replacement is found for Alex Allan." Applications for the post close on 23 October, and the Cabinet Office expects to name a replacement by the end of November.
