NEWS In his keynote speech later today, CEO Hasso Plattner is expected to outline how Europe's largest software group hopes to make these exchanges more successful by linking companies to their customers and providers. According to analysts, this could prove a positive move, as up to 34,000 companies are considering setting up private exchanges. SAP is also expected to announce a joint software application with Commerce One. With rivals Oracle, Ariba and i2 all having issued profit warnings, SAP reversed the trend by reporting last week higher earnings than expected for the first quarter.
