NEWS The in-depth area guides, aimed at industry commentators and MPs, cover issues from weekly household expenditure, schools performance and average family income to the likely newspapers read in a particular area. It also provides a Mosaic profile, a resident definition, by typing in a post-code. Experian claims that the Tories are interested in the service. Bruno Rost, Experian spokesman, said: "I believe that they are looking into providing the service on their campaign website - we have had quite a few MPs looking through it too - it helps them construct an accurate political message for their constituency." The company supplies database information on consumers, businesses, motor vehicles and property to companies looking to build more effective customer relationships and risk management. Experian claims that its Mosaic postcode system is used by all the major political parties as a data-mining tool.
