Axa splashes out on £35m IT contract

Insurance salesmen get flash with the cash...

NEWS Financial service specialist Marlborough Stirling has won a £35m four-year contract from insurance giant AXA Sun Life. The Cheltenham-based services house will be providing a 1,500 terminal back office system based on its LAMDA life and pensions system. Marlborough will continue to develop the system to AXA's requirements. It is expected to administer around 2.5 million customers. The IT company has around 900 staff, a turnover of £50m, and went public on the London Stock Exchange last April.
