NEWS Frozen food giant Findus has signed a £1.3m deal with Intentia to centralise its production processes. The Swedish company's plants currently operate independently and sell only to local markets, but Findus hopes the deal to develop its business critical systems will help it establish more collaborative ways of working. Gunnar Lundgren, product supply manager at Findus, said the company's mission is to transform its production plants from decentralised factories that supply local markets into European units that supply the entire European market. Intentia will implement its Movex Food and Beverage package in six plants in Norway, Sweden and the UK. About £730,000 of the deal relates to software licence revenue.
