NEWS Information technology services company Computer Science Corporation has reported first quarter fiscal 2002 revenues of $2.7bn - an increase of 10.2 per cent over the same period in 2001. These figures were in line with the company's estimates from May 14, 2001. However, they are a surprise in the context of the "turbulent industrial conditions" according to Van B Honeycutt, chairman of CSC. The reduction in the demand for commercial consulting has led to capacity modifications. CSC is therefore focusing on "larger and longer term products" according to Honeycutt. He added that revenue growth is expected to exceed 10 per cent in the second quarter.
