Computer reseller profits bloom

But weakness in IT hardware market stunts sales growth...

NEWS Technology products and services reseller ComputerLand UK has released a statement reporting its profits for the first quarter have grown. The reseller - a subsidiary of Synnex Information Technologies - said outsourcing had shown strong growth although sales had declined from the previous year. The company reported its Q1 profits are up from the previous year The company statement said it blamed a "general weakness for the market for IT hardware" for the downturn in last year's sales, but it is confident of a "satisfactory outcome" for the full year if the market does not weaken further. Following the news it's share price had jumped over 21 per cent from 45p to 54.5p at 13:30pm (BST) on the London Stock Exchange.
