Microsoft keen to delay antitrust hearing

NEWS The US Department of Justice today asked for the hearings on sanctions against Microsoft to be held next February, and to be limited to 40 hours. However, the software giant wanted the remedy hearings postponed for at least six months, unless District Court Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly limited the scope of the sanctions. There was some agreement in the filing though, as both sides agreed to seek an out of court settlement in the meantime and that settlement negotiations should be made without a mediator.
