NEWS More than half of bankrupt Atlantic's 435 staff will lose their jobs, according to an announcement from the company's administrators. The cuts will affect branches in Manchester, Aberdeen, Glasgow and London. Stephen Pearson, joint administrator with PricewaterhouseCoopers, said in a statement: "Unfortunately the redundancies were essential to reduce the cash needs of the business and provide the maximum possible time to find a buyer." "We are continuing to serve customers while we explore and seek out various expressions of interest," he added.
