NEWS A plane leaving JFK airport in New York has crashed in the Queens area of the city at 09:15 local time. There is no confirmation of the reason for the crash and no evidence at this stage of any terrorist involvement. 255 people are reported to have been on board. Four buildings are believed to be on fire at the scene of the crash. All airports across America have been closed as a precaution.
