NEWS European businesses have failed to factor in the euro to their ecommerce projects, leaving over a third delayed by the launch of the euro on Wednesday. According to the latest research from services giant EDS, 35 per cent of European companies had their ecommerce projects put back so that they could accommodate the euro in time. Almost half the companies surveyed were unable to say their preparations for the new currency were adequate. The euro launch is also putting more strain on budgets - with some possible benefits for hard-pressed IT directors. According to the same research IT budgets increased four per cent to cover Euro-related costs.
