NEWS Cap Gemini has won the lead role in a Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) project to wire-up Britain's diplomats around the world. The £53m project will provide Foreign Office workers with new accounting software and information systems, as well as system maintenance, support and training services. The seven-year project, known as Prism, will integrate finance, payroll, personnel and procurement in over 200 offices worldwide. The FCO said Cap Gemini had the "most economically advantageous tender" and a proven track record. The FCO recently signed a £63m deal with ICL to provide a knowledge management system for its employees.
