NEWS Novell COO, Stewart Nelson, is leaving his job after eight years at the software company. In a brief statement, Jack Messman, president and CEO of Novell, said Stewart was a "valued executive who would be missed". In his time at the networking specialist, Nelson has served as general manager of the collaboration business and senior vice president of R&D. Messman joined Novell as CEO last July as part of its $226m merger with Cambridge Technology. The then CEO Eric Schmidt stepped down to concentrate on his job as CEO of popular search engine, Google.
