NEWS The UK police are trialling e-procurement as part of a government scheme to get public sector bodies buying online. The Police Information Technology Organisation (PITO) has begun piloting the system with 50 users and 28 suppliers. The pilot is one of seven being implemented by the Office of Government Commerce's (OGC) ePilots Project. Technology partners Accenture, Ariba and US e-procurement software group Epylon are involved in the project.
