Computacenter in £150m BT deal

NEWS IT services company Computercenter has struck a desktop support deal with BT worth £150m. The outsourcing contract will span five years and see the services company provide desktop support to 100,000 BT employees. Computercenter will work alongside BT's own services vision with the possibility of the pair working together on third party contracts. BT will also purchase computer equipment through Computercenter over the period of the contract. By close yesterday, Computacenter's share price was up more than two per cent to 367.50p.
