NEWS UK IT services group Anite has bought mobile working software firm Micro Surveys Property Systems for £8m. Shares in Anite defied recent poor performance and rose two per cent on the news to trade at 137p at lunchtime. Anite, which is one of the UK's biggest suppliers of IT services to local government, said the deal will allow it to become the number one provider of mobile solutions for local government. The deal is the latest in an extensive spending spree for the pan-European Group, which has seen it spend over £50m in the last two years buying up technology firms.
