NEWS Computer Associates has filed a lawsuit against rival Quest Software, accusing it of stealing software blueprints and using them to build new products. Computer Associates has asked a Chicago court to ban Quest from selling any products based on the software code and to return any profit it may have made from selling them. The lawsuit alleges that four Quest employees stole the code for database management software while working with Platinum Technology. The workers joined Quest after Platinum Technology was acquired by Computer Associates in 1999.
