NEWS Following on from the news last month that calling your children after tech brand names could be the next big thing, it seems one techie has taken it all a bit too literally - naming his offspring Version 2.0.
Self-confessed geek and engineer Jon Blake Cusack, like countless new dads before him, decided to give his son his name. But instead of the more conventional Jon Blake Cusack II or Junior, Cusack Snr dubbed his sprog Version 2.0.
After a bit of persuading, Cusack's wife gave in to her husband's tech-naming obsession - giving the baby the official moniker Cusack 2.0.
Cusack 2.0 was born on Tuesday at the Holland Community hospital, in Michigan. The couple celebrated the happy event by emailing friends and family that the Version 2.0 had been released. The upgrade contains updated features compared to Version 1.0, the engineer told local paper, the Holland Sentinel.
"If he has a child, he could name it 3.0," the new father added.
