NEWS Unisys has scooped a five-year deal with Lloyd's – potentially worth £10m – to revamp the insurer's IT infrastructure.
The contract will see Unisys supporting 1,400 desktops and 200 servers across Lloyd's with a managed service agreement. The managed services will be provided remotely, with server support based in Schipol, the Netherlands, and IT support originating in Milton Keynes.
The contract will be the first time Lloyds has had its IT managed remotely.
The insurer has also bought two Unisys ES700 servers in a separate deal.
