I'd be curious to know if there's any attempts at Eden Project to tap into photovoltaics - plants do it so well!

From memory of a visit last year, the answer is no, which seems a pity considering they have a vast roof area on the new education block. PV panels are not exactly green though - the process of making them, both the chemicals used and the energy consumed actually puts question marks over their real benefits. What would be more useful near Eden would be the use of wind power, but not in the quarry itself.
