Panel beating? This lively panel debate was the chance for the IT department to strike back after Cochrane's damning opening. However, Neil Cameron, global CIO of Unilever (second on the left) said: "I've always been grateful for the HR department because if ever there's been anybody the business liked less it was HR."
Panel host Margaret Smith (far left), former CIO of Legal & General, said CIOs might make more friends if they ditch the tech jargon.
She said: "We often criticise vendors for the way they talk to us but we should probably take a good look at ourselves because that's probably the way we talk to the business."
