CIO forum talking heads: Conference chairman René Carayol kicked things off on a positive note at silicon.com's CIO Forum. He said: "You have to be optimistic. If you're not optimistic then how the hell are your people going to feel?"
Columnist Peter Cochrane ignited controversy with his opinion that young people will bring down the IT department as we know it. A lively panel debate followed, answering Cochrane's criticism. Then the prosecution and defence took the stage for a live CIO Jury trial on whether businesses should fear Google.
The event continued with a McCue Interview on stage with government CIO John Suffolk on ID cards plans and more.
