Little Chef customers will soon be able surf the web wirelessly while tucking into their Olympic breakfasts after the roadside restaurant chain signed a deal with The Cloud.

All of Little Chef's 232 countrywide cafés have rolled out wireless connectivity from The Cloud, which will see diners chowing down and logging on from £11.99 per month, using the Cloud's existing tariffs.

Wi-fi access has become a prerequisite for business and leisure guests, said Little Chef marketing director Cathy Stevenson.

The Cloud COO Bobby Sarin said travel locations have some of the highest usage levels from across the company's entire hotspot estate with business travellers generally being the most experienced wi-fi users.

Increasingly they are using wi-fi to make voice calls or watch video clips, and not just to access emails, he added.

The Cloud CEO George Polk recently appeared in silicon.com's Agenda Setters 2006.
