NEWS

Former Salesforce.com senior executive Phill Robinson has left the company to lead a web start-up.

Robinson had been with Salesforce.com since 2003 and occupied several senior positions in the exec team of the software-as-a-service CRM company, including chief marketing officer and then chief operating officer sales & distribution.

He will now take over as CEO of CacheLogic, an online content delivery company.

In his last role at Salesforce.com, Robinson was responsible for ongoing development and delivery of its sales strategy. Prior to that, as CMO, he recently dealt with the fallout after the company suffered service outages.

CacheLogic provides content network delivery services for rich online media, such as video on demand.
