The Difference Engine has two output options. It can actually print numerals on paper or make an impression onto plaster, therefore creating a cast to be used over and over again. The machine was sophisticated enough to be programmed with two different font sizes, various margin settings and other formatting options.

Sadly no mention has been made in this piece abouth the work done in the Science Museum in London by the Museum, Britich Computer Society and the Newcomen Society, to build the first working engine. The one being shipped to the US is a copy of this working Difference Engine already on display in the London Science museum.
