BT-owned online consumer electronics and computing retailer dabs.com is planning to implement a new ERP system within the next year to help improve the flow of management information.
The project will be one of the main tasks for dabs.com's new commercial director David Gould.
Gould is in charge of buying, product management, supply chain, customer services and facilities management.
Gould comes from Dixons Stores Group (DSGi) where he spent six years, joining as trading director with responsibility for inventory management, warehousing and logistics. In 2006, he assumed the role of commercial director at DSGi.
He will report to the dabs.com CEO Simon Curry.
Gould said: "The issues that dabs.com has are similar to the challenges I faced at DSGi. [In terms of customer base] they are identical and therefore the range of suppliers will be the same."
